His journey into music began in the tough neighborhoods of Hartford’s North and South Ends, where he was surrounded by poverty, violence, and drug use. Raised by a single mother struggling to care for three children, Joe found solace and an outlet in music, which became a powerful means of relieving stress and expressing his emotions.
Joe‘s stepfather played a significant role in shaping his musical career. At around 12 years old, Joe was introduced to music through his stepfather, who had his own studio and recorded local acts. This exposure to the recording process sparked Joe’s passion for music, and he has been pursuing his dreams ever since.
Over the years, Joe Banga has built an impressive resume, having opened for notable artists like Juelz Santana, Lloyd Banks, Peedi Crack, Fred the Godson, and Maino. His talent and hard work have also led to collaborations with respected names in the industry, including Jadakiss of The LOX, Tony Sunshine of Terror Squad, Vado, The Hoodies, Hell Rell (formerly of Dipset), Chess (URL battle rapper), Chris Rivers (son of Big Pun), Large Amounts (formerly of D-Block), Oun P, and Fuego Base (member of BSF).
