Philadelphia street rap veteran Dark Lo and acclaimed producer V Don are set to release their fifth collaborative studio album, Made Of Gold, on July 30. The announcement arrives alongside the project’s first single, “540 Months,” which is now available on all DSPs.
Made Of Gold continues one of hip-hop’s most consistent and respected artist-producer partnerships. Dark Lo and V Don have built a reputation over the years for delivering raw, uncompromising street narratives layered over V Don‘s signature cinematic production, and their catalog together has become a cornerstone of modern gritty rap. Made Of Gold marks the duo’s fifth joint project, further cementing their run as one of the genre’s most enduring collaborations.
Made Of Gold also holds special significance as it’s Dark Lo‘s first new music since being released from prison last summer. Fans have long awaited his return, and this project signals not just a comeback, but a continuation of the artistry that made him one of the most respected voices in street rap.
