Roland Vega was born in Havana, Cuba, but has lived in California since he was five years old. He graduated from L.A. Trade Technical College with a degree in Commercial Art and today works as a graphic designer and part-time music producer.
It is music that has been a constant in Roland’s life and something that he couldn’t ever imagine being without. He has been enjoying the simple pleasure of writing and performing his own songs for decades and currently writes for a couple of sink labels. Through this, he has enjoyed some notable successes, with some of his music featuring on well-known shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Cat Fish, and Miami Hair.
His most recent project is titled 62 and consists of 10 songs that Roland wrote and produced himself. Fans can access these songs through https://rolandvega.hearnow.com where they can immerse themselves in a sample of Roland’s unique and relaxed style.
Today, Roland lives in North Hollywood, California, with his wife and their Labradoodle. In his free time, away from work, he enjoys seeing his adult children and four grandchildren, going to the beach with his wife and the dog, and painting wildlife. He once was privileged to sing the National Anthem for a title belt fight at the Forum in Inglewood, California and he enjoys performing at open mic sessions where he can try out new songs he has written.
Roland never tires of the thrill that live performing brings and he is looking forward to renewed success in the coming years.
