Artist Biography:
Kick 5000 is a generational musician. I specialize in Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae. I studied music as a passion on my own. Countless hours listening to catalogs of music. This is how I honed my skill. I worked on my melodies. The pivotal moment was when an a&r told me to make my lyrics more refined. I took everything in with a grain of salt and worked on my weakness. My father died when I was three years old. My older brother got locked up for life when I was thirteen. When I turned fifteen my mom died. I had no immediate family in the state to take custody of my siblings and me. When I turned seventeen I made fun of a family friend being in a rap group. I use to recited my friend’s rhymes every time someone would ask me to rap. I use making fun of their verses, until one day they said to me why don’t you try it since you think it’s so easy. I began to write verses in my composition book. I was in a group known as “The Goons” a local rap/ hip hop group out of Carol City Florida. It contained four a group known as “The Goons” a local rap/ hip hop group out of Carol City Florida. Goonsville started with my four childhood friends.
