Multi-platinum, 2X Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist Joyner Lucas shares his first solo single of the year titled “One Of Them.” Joyner’s rapid-fire flow is front and center as he readies his third studio album, ADHD 2, due out July 18 via his own label, Twenty Nine Music Group, distributed by The Orchard.
The new single coincides with the announcement of Joyner’s long-awaited sequel to his debut LP, ADHD, which was released in 2020. A lead-up to the project, “One Of Them” gives fans a taste of what they can expect from one of the most multi-faceted artists of his generation. Throughout the track, Joyner refuses to be boxed in as he elucidates his individualism. He owns the moment and makes it clear that he is truly in a league of his own: “I can’t be denied I’m one of them/Look in my eyes I’m one of them/Ahead of my time I’m one of them/I’m still in my prime I’m one of them.”
Earlier this year (Mar. 27), Joyner celebrated the 5-year anniversary of his critically-acclaimed debut studio album. To commemorate the major milestone, he took to social media with a heartfelt post where he reflects with gratitude.
Adding to the momentum, “One Of Them” sets the tone for what’s to come on ADHD 2, which features an all-star lineup including J Balvin, Ava Max, Chris Brown, Blackbear, Big Sean, T-Pain, Fireboy DML, DaBaby and Ty Dolla $ign. The album is now available for pre-order on vinyl, CD, and digital, marking Joyner’s first-ever physical release campaign – a major milestone in his independent journey. With each drop, Joyner continues to prove he can hold his own next to the best in the game while crafting a lane that’s entirely his own.
It’s been five years since Joyner independently released his debut opus, which amassed over 1.2B streams worldwide. Now, the saga continues as the ADHD rapper picks up where he last left off. ADHD 2, the sequel, is primed for widespread acclaim and follows on from 2024’s Not Now I’m Busy LP – Joyner Lucas’ second studio album.
Stream “One Of Them,” pre-save/order ADHD 2 and stay tuned for more coming soon.
“One Of Them” Lyrics:
Intro:
Uh
Yeah, Joyner (ADHD 2)
Uh (ADHD 2)
Yeah
Uh, way up (Let’s get it)
Way up (Let’s get it)
I’m way up (Let’s get it)
Joyner (ADHD 2), Joyner (Let’s get it)
(Let’s get it, let’s get it, let’s get it) Yeah
Verse 1:
2025, gotta make shit bloody
I’m standin’ outside ’til the rain get muddy
My ADHD got my brain gettin’ nutty
You better say, “Cheese,” when I aim this stubby
There ain’t enough room for you tasteless dummies
The man on the moon, but I ain’t Kid Cudi
I want the whole cake ’til the plate gеt crumby
I laugh to the bank if you think shit funny
Throwin’ a grenade at thе Cybertruck
Flames shootin’ out the rims, better call the fire truck (Damn)
Made a couple mils but it’s not enough
Blow a hole through a Brinks truck, then I count it up (Uh)
I hate when rap niggas try to size me up, like I won’t wipe a nigga down ‘fore I mop ’em up (Sheesh)
2017, they was blockin’ us, now I’m on the charts and you bitches ain’t hot as us
50 taught me how to get rich without tryin’, nigga, it’s about time, wasn’t hittin’ them brakes
Fuck your top five ’cause I’m in the top three of your favorite top five, let’s get this shit straight
Funny niggas hate me, but I tell ’em, “Get in line”
Better open up wide, tell me how to dictate
Two-hundred pound vest when I stompin’ on your chest
Put ’em on a bench press like I’ma finna lift weights
Chorus:
I can’t be denied, I’m one of them (Joyner)
Look in my eyes, I’m one of them (Ayy)
Ahead of my time, I’m one of them (One of them)
I’m one of them, ayy
I’m still in my prime, I’m one of them (Yeah)
Don’t be surprised, I’m one of them (Uh)
Ask who am I, I’m one of them (One of them)
I’m one of them (One of them)
I’m one of them ones
I can’t be denied, I’m one of them (Joyner)
Look in my eyes, I’m one of them (Oh)
Ahead of my time, I’m one of them (One of them)
I’m one of them, ayy (Ayy)
I’m still in my prime, I’m one of them (Yeah)
Don’t be surprised, I’m one of them (Woah)
Ask who am I, I’m one of them (Ones)
I’m one of them (Ones)
I’m one of them ones
Verse 2:
This that shit that made a nigga wanna pop off (Pop off)
Breakin’ all the rules ’til I end up in a squad car
Back in high school, they all said I was a odd ball
So I kept a tool in the top drawer (Joyner)
The metal had me feelin’ like a motherfuckin’ rock star
Back against the wall like a nigga playin’ dodgeball
I was in the short yellow bus, gettin’ dropped off
Chewin’ Adderall, gettin’ lockjaw
Why they playin’ with me when a nigga waitin’ to squeeze?
Then a bullet breakin’ they teeth ’til I keep on makin’ ’em bleed
I got a hater disease that’ll make ’em ache at the knees
I turn a nigga brain to a double bacon with cheese (Brrah)
And I been waitin’ to eat, I’m what they waitin’ to see
Ain’t no debatin’ with me, when I get to takin’ the lead (Brrah)
And a couple diamonds on my chain that be makin’ ’em freeze
Them bullets, make it rain if you tryna take it from me (Facts)
There’s too many niggas decievin’ me
But I got the millions, had to learn shit ain’t what it seem to be (Brrah)
And understandin’ what the fuck did my bitch ever see in me?
I’m tired of eatin’ competition, the fuck is you feedin’ me? (Yeah, brrah)
I told ’em, “Give me all the smoke and apart from the greenery” (Brrah)
I made a motherfucker choke in his lungs repeatedly (Brrah)
I was young, but they treated me like a bomb with ADHD
If you don’t fuck with Joyner Lucas, then suck my BBC, bitch (Brrah)
Chorus:
I can’t be denied, I’m one of them (Joyner)
Look in my eyes, I’m one of them (Ayy)
Ahead of my time, I’m one of them (One of them)
I’m one of them, ayy (Ayy)
I’m still in my prime, I’m one of them (Yeah)
Don’t be surprised, I’m one of them (Uh)
Ask who am I, I’m one of them (One of them)
I’m one of them (One of them)
I’m one of them ones

Artist Biography:
Joyner Lucas is a two-time, Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist, entertainer, actor and entrepreneur. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has released several platinum and gold projects and singles, such as “ISIS,” “I’m Not Racist,” “Ramen & OJ,” “ADHD,” and “Your Heart,” among others. Along the way, Joyner unveiled a never-ending stream of music and collaborations with fellow superstars such as Will Smith, J. Cole, Lil Baby, Eminem, Future, Chris Brown, Ashanti and more. His fluid flow, impeccable wordplay and vivid storytelling skills have made the Worcester, Massachusetts native one of the biggest and most talented independent artists in the world. He parlayed that passion into a career and, by 2015, Joyner reached a turning point with the release of his break-out viral video for “Ross Capicchioni” from his mixtape, Along Came Joyner. Joyner would make an indelible imprint on the music industry in 2017 with the release of his transcendent single, “I’m Not Racist,” which touched on race relations in America and resulted in his first-career Grammy nomination for ‘Best Music Video’. That same year, Lucas also earned a separate Grammy nomination for ‘Best Rap Song’ for his collaborative effort with Eminem on “Lucky You”, which is now RIAA certified 3x-Multi Platinum. Joyner maintained that momentum en route to releasing his long-awaited, debut studio album, ADHD, in March 2020. The project debuted in the Top-10 of the Billboard 200, earned RIAA Gold certification, sparked a much-needed conversation about mental health and established a new template for success that independent artists could follow. In March of 2024, he released his sophomore studio album – Not Now I’m Busy, culminating the long-anticipated wait for new music. The stand out single “Best For Me” featured Grammy-nominated Country artist, Jelly Roll, and peaked Top 25 at U.S. Rhythm Radio, with the official music video receiving an MTV VMA nomination. To further empower emerging artists, Joyner and his business partner Dhruv Joshi teamed up to co-found Tully, a platform that offers a 360 suite of tools for artists to manage and grow their careers. The service provides guided workflows, structured asset management, templated industry contracts, publishing, licensing support, music distribution, management features and more. Joyner’s innovative work on Tully ultimately prompted Sony Music Entertainment to make a strategic investment into the platform at the onset of 2020. The two powerhouses would go on to announce an expansion of features to lift the platform to new heights.
