“Monster” Lyrics:
Chorus: Niklas
Now I’m the one you’re hiding from
No it ain’t easy when a monster is the one
To build you up, then break you down
No it ain’t easy when the person that you love
Is the monster I’ve become, the monster I’ve become
Is the monster I’ve become
No it ain’t easy when the person that you love
Is the monster I’ve become
Verse 1: GAWNE
Can you blame me for the person I became, it’s insane
Loving you was only pain cause, every single day
You would say that I’m not good enough to stay with
Ok man I get it, things ain’t never gonna change
Used to lay down in my bed and cry, looking at the sky
Father why was I ever even put here I just want to die
Try to walk a mile in my shoes then come out alive
You’d be messed up too, but I chose to follow my dreams
I got everything I wanted they applaud all the girls
Money and fame that I floss, but it came with a cost
Kind of hard to explain
It’s like everything I’ve gained don’t make up for what I’ve lost
I spent the last ten years with a broad named music
She abused me left bruised beat and scarred
I don’t associate success with her name, she’s a monster
Let’s talk about the pain that she’s caused
Chorus: Niklas
Now I’m the one you’re hiding from
No it ain’t easy when a monster is the one
To build you up, then break you down
No it ain’t easy when the person that you love
Is the monster I’ve become
Verse 2: GAWNE
After all is said and done, now look what I’ve become
A fugitive on the run
Cause I’ve been hiding from the person that I fear most
They feel so near, oh dear
She appears when I’m looking in the mirror
I’ve been searching for closure
But how we supposed to know it’s through
Between me and you, when none of it’s over
Running in circles going round in these ovals
We break up and go our separate ways
‘Til one of us shows up, I was always at your side
Like this gun in my holster
But disloyalty weights heavy so I had to unload ya
Now I’m out of bullets I got nothing I’m lonely
Guess the monster you’ve become has been killing me slowly
Cause late at night I feel her under my bed
I try to scream out, for somebody but nothing is said
Instead, I just mutter under my breath that I love you
Because in the end, I’m the one that’s fucked in the head
Chorus: Niklas Carson
Now I’m the one you’re hiding from
No it ain’t easy when a monster is the one
To build you up, then break you down
No it ain’t easy when the person that you love
Is the monster I’ve become, the monster I’ve become
Is the monster I’ve become
No it ain’t easy when the person that you love
Is the monster I’ve become
