Making a bold return, platinum-selling Chicago hip-hop luminary G Herbo is back with a brand new single and music video entitled “Shoot” featuring Skilla Baby out now.
On the track produced by Chopsquad DJ, an ominous loop skitters across tense hi-hats and punchy 808s, setting the stage for an incendiary verbal barrage. G Herbo attacks the beat with precise bars, while Skilla Baby pulls up with unapologetic force. The anthemic refrain practically explodes on impact as they chant, “Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot.” The music video channels this fiery energy, as the duo trade bars and exotic cars with guest appearances from friends including Herbo’s frequent collaborator, Southside.
It also bulldozes the way for his anxiously awaited new project, Big Swerv, out later this summer!
Last month, G Herbo’s presence dominated during BET Awards weekend in Los Angeles. He appeared on the BET Awards red carpet and hit the court for the BETX Celebrity Basketball Game hosted by Wallo267 and Gillie Da King.
In 2022, he made a major statement by dropping the double-album opus Survivor’s Remorse: A Side & B Side. In addition to achieving critical acclaim, it notably included guest appearances by Jeremih, Future, Offset, Gunna, Benny The Butcher, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Young Thug, Meek Mill, Conway, and Kodak Black.
However, he’s got more music and surprises in store. This is G Herbo’s time.

Platinum-selling rapper Herbert “G Herbo” Wright has endured a season of close calls and losing several of his closest friends to senseless gun violence in his native Chicago. All of this was channeled into his critically acclaimed double album, Survivor’s Remorse in 2022 which Rolling Stone called, “another potent look into his rattled, conflicted psyche that also doubles as a celebration of his 10-year run as one of the most enduring young rappers to come out of Chicago’s drill scene.” Following up from his 2023 mixtape, Strictly For My Fans 2, and earning Platinum and Gold plaques for Nardo Wick’s “Who Want Smoke” and his late friend Young Dolph’s “One Scale” that same year, Herbo aims to reach his full potential as an artist with his celebratory offering for the summertime, Big Swerv. The album is executive produced by longtime collaborators Southside and Big Oz.
G Herbo‘s four albums, PTSD, 25, Swervo, and his debut, Humble Beast, all reached the Billboard Top 200 albums chart.
