Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Elijah Blake returns with “Shouldn’t Wanna Call,” via MNRK Music Group. On “Shouldn’t Wanna Call,” Elijah wrestles with the ache of moving on while still feeling tethered to the memories of a love that once defined him. Over lush production, his voice floats between heartbreak and healing as he sings, “One thing I know, two things for sure, three things for certain — you were supposed to be my person.” The track feels like a late-night confession, raw and unfiltered, where reflection meets regret.

“‘Shouldn’t Wanna Call’ is about that space between closure and longing, when you know you shouldn’t look back, but your heart hasn’t caught up yet,” shares Elijah. “It’s one of the most honest songs I’ve ever written.”

Shouldn’t Wanna Call,” the third single from his forthcoming album THE GEMINI, set for release on January 16, follows “White Rum” and “Work It Out,” two standout tracks that showcase the album’s emotional range from sensual island grooves to confessional R&B rooted in soulful storytelling. With THE GEMINI, Elijah Blake steps fully into his duality — the lover and the loner, the poet and the performer. Each song is a reflection of that push-and-pull, capturing the emotional complexity that defines the modern love story.

Now available for pre-order, THE GEMINI marks a deeply personal new chapter for Blake. One that captures the duality of love, loss, and self-discovery through his most vulnerable songwriting to date.
